An application has been made to demolish Needler Hall, Cottingham. Built circa 1780, the house was until recently the centrepiece of Hull University's Needler Hall hall of residence. Although the Georgian sections were retained when all the surrounding buildings were demolished, an application has now been made to demolish these too. Details can be found in the public access section of the East Riding of Yorkshire Councils website, application number 17/04210/PLF.

The Georgian Society for East Yorkshire has submitted an objection and notes that objections have also been made by the Conservation Officer.
