Norwood House

Saturday, 25th February 2012

The Georgian Society for East Yorkshire is very grateful to Mark Butters, the owner of Norwood House, for allowing members to visit before the first new tenants move in. Norwood House, Beverley, has long been a cause of concern for the Georgian Society since it ceased to be used by Beverley High School in 2000. A tour of the house, which dates from the mid eighteenth century, was led by Professor John Wilton-Ely who had advised on the paint colours adopted in the restoration of the property. The event was organised by Jill Jones.
